I'm thinking of finding homes for the pets who are at my local pound. I'll have one permanent friend for myself(not from the pound) which will be mine alone. Has anyone else tried this, and if so.. what is the best way to advertise? I wouldn't be charging for any fees, and would be for my own self benefit like taking care of wildlife when hurt. I just love animals 
(nonsexually). Also, I believe the only canine I'll be able to choose for a permanent pet may be a St. Bernard, unless other evidence is brought to my attention, I've always known the breed to be good around all creatures. Also, since its easier to find homes, should I make sure my own is female? Is the mothering to pound puppies a good thing? I've tons of other questions and thoughts, but I believe I can hold them off for right now. ...
